Corn

I ended up reading much more than I expected about corn today. There is a lot out there, since everything is corn.

As food, as a food additive, as packaging, in fibreglass, in fuel.

Stumbled across it reading the wikipedia page on Dead Zones - that the push to move to "cleaner fuel".

scaling up corn production to meet the 15-billion-US-gallon (57,000,000 m3) goal would increase nitrogen loading in the Dead Zone by 10–18%.

There is apparently 65,000+ words on the Wikipedia corn vs maize naming debate.

And making a corn maze (or maize maze) is more considered than I thought. You need to plant the corn later, use the right variety, cut it a particular way. Everything is so complicated.
